Occupational Therapy:

The initial consultation is to gather information from the child and assess the child's skills in areas for example self-care and interaction with their environment.

The intervention plan is a collaborative plan between the child, their family, and the therapist to help the child reach their goals. The plan is according to the child's occupational needs, goals and values The goal of the intervention is to help the child improve their health and wellbeing, and become more independent.

We provide functional capacity/ life skills assessments to children and young adults as per request. These assessments are usually requested by funding organisations, for example the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA).

The therapy sessions typically last 50 minutes.
